Sainik School Kunjpura invites applications for admission to class 6th and class 9th. Details are given bleow.
About School: Sainik School Kunjpura is one of the first five schools established by the Sainik Schools Society, New Delhi in 1961. At present there are 24 such schools covering all the states of the country. This school was founded by (late) Shri V.K. Krishna Menon, the then Defence Minister of India, on 24th July, 1961. The school is situated off the G.T.Road, 8 Kms away from Karnal Town.
Aim: The primary aim of the school is to prepare boys academically, mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy. It enables boys from economically weaker sections of the society to take up an illustrious career as officer in the Armed Forces of the nation.
Character building, dedication, patriotic outlook and esprit-de-corps are the qualities which are promoted by the Sainik Schools

Class for Admission and Age Eligibility: Admission is applicable to the boys only. Boys born between 02 Jul 2001 and 01 Jul 2002 (both days inclusive) are eligible for admission to Class VI and boys born between 02 July 1998 and 01 July 1999 (both days inclusive) are eligible for admission to Class IX.

- For IX Std: 12
Fee and Scholarship: Approximately Rs. 82,000/- at the time of admission, out of which Rs. 3000/- caution money is refundable. The Central and State Govts provide liberal scholarship depending upon the academic performance of boy and parents annual income.

How to Obtain Prospectus: The prospectus cum application forms for admission at Sainik School Kunjpura may be obtained from the Principal Sainik School Kunjpura, Karnal (Haryana) - 132023 w.e.f. 15 Oct 2011 to 09 Dec 2011 on all working days between 1000-1300 hrs by paying cash Rs. 400/- for General and Defence categories and Rs. 250/- for SC and ST categories. The prospectus may also be obtained by post by sending an application on plain paper by mentioning address and category along with a DD of Rs. 440/- for General and Defence categories and Rs. 290/- for SC and ST categories, drawn in favour of Principal, Sainik School Kunjpura, payable at SBI Kunjpura (Code No. 2400).
Application form can be downloaded from school's website www.sskunjpura.org. duly filled application form can be submitted by post or in person along with a DD in favour of Principal, Sainik School Kunjpura, payable at SBI Kunjpura (Code No. 2400) of Rs. 400/- (for General and Defence categories) and Rs. 250/- (for SC and ST categories). Other documents are to be submitted as mentioned in prospectus.
Submission of Application Form: Duly completed application to reach Principal, Sainik School Kunjpura, Karnal (Haryana) - 132 023 by 1630 hrs on 10 Dec 2010 positively. Application will not be received after due date through any means. Incomplete application will be summarily rejected and no communication to this effect will be made to the parent.The School will not be responsible for rejection of the application on account of postal delay, if any (including postal/courier services).
