Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik today called Ajmal Kasab, the gunman captured during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, a terrorist who should be hanged. He said the attack was meant to “make the two countries fight”.
Malik defended the decision to remove Jamaat-ud-Dawa from a terror list arguing that the Indian dossier, linking JuD founder Hafiz Saeed to the 26/11 attack, gave information “but not evidence”.
“Ajmal Kasab is a terrorist. He is a non-state actor who has committed the crime. He should go to gallows,” said Malik, adding that Pakistan proposed to send a judicial commission to India. “It will plug the legal lacuna which is bothering us and move the trial forward,” he said.
