The semester examinations being conducted by the Board of School Education will begin on October 3. As many as 258 flying squads will maintain a strict vigil on the examination centres. The board has declared the examination duty as compulsory and no changes are liable to be carried out.
Shekhar Vidyarthi, secretary of the board, said 8,31,898 candidates would take these examinations at 1,646 centres. He said 4,66,357 candidates were appearing at the secondary level, 3,53,953 at the senior secondary level and 11,588 were taking the first and second semester re-appear examinations of Haryana Open School. He said 1,646 superintendents had also been appointed for these centres for ensuring smooth examinations.
Vidyarthi said the five control rooms had also been set up in the state for monitoring the centres during the conduct of these examinations at Rohtak, Gurgaon, Fatehabad, Kurukshetra and the board’s headquarters at Bhiwani.
